About us
We are Authors Connected – a group of authors who are linked by our love of reading and writing.
We first came together during the One Hand Can’t Clap programme. Each of us had been on a profound journey towards becoming an author, and these journeys had shaped our lives in wonderful ways.
Our writing, of course, had a role to play within our businesses and careers. But it also boosted us in other areas, from self-awareness to self-esteem and sense of purpose. Through writing and becoming authors, we were supporting our own health, wellbeing and personal development – sometimes without even realising it.
As we shared our writing experiences with each other, we realised that we all had the same desire: we wanted to help others go on similar, life-changing journeys.
Our mission
Our mission is to inspire, empower, lead and promote the visibility of writers. We firmly believe in the power of writing to transform lives, not just in a professional sense but on a personal level and within communities too. With that in mind, we keep health and wellbeing at the heart of what we do. We wish to support all communities, across all ages, genders, cultures and backgrounds. Everyone is welcome at our events. By sharing our knowledge, we can help individuals and groups to realise their dreams and aspirations.
What we do
We offer community-building initiatives, workshops, talks, podcasts, roadshows and presentations. Through these, you can learn about our unique journeys of becoming published authors, and how we plan to disrupt the narrative and keep our stories alive. Crucially, you can also explore the stories that matter to you, and start to put your own words on the page.
Our workshops are designed to: harness creativity, encourage entrepreneurship, inspire new adventures, explore skills to achieve financial freedom, and strengthen your resilience. Whilst doing this we also foster new collaborations and opportunities for networking.
